Brown nominated for Allstate AFCA Good Works Team

NORTHBROOK, Ill. - Fresno State senior wide receiver Jordan Brown has been announced as a nominee for the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, in part of a record-breaking year for the award with 197 nominees. The organizations recognize coaches and student-athletes for their work beyond the gridiron.

Brown is a dedicated member of the Bulldog football program, but equally as dedicated to his service away from the field. He is a devoted member of his church as a service leader, and spends time as an active participant at FCA events.

The senior Bulldog is one to rally his teammates when it comes to participating in community service events or other outreach activities. He also prioritizes internal efforts as well, working to maintain a community within Fresno State student-athletes.

Brown's outwardly largest generous act would be his involvement with Fresno State's partnership in Team IMPACT. In May of 2023, Fresno State's football program partnered with Team IMPACT to sign Jace Sumpter to the team. Sumpter was a young boy going through treatment for kidney cancer, and has since been declared cancer free but still a part of the team. Brown gathers teammates to spend time with Jace and his family throughout the year. Brown invited the Sumpter family to the Bulldogs' spring showcase, which saw Jace scoring a touchdown on the final drive of the scrimmage.

More on Brown's contributions with the Sumpter family and Team IMPACT can be found here.

This nomination is not his first community service recognition as Brown earned the Humanitarian Award at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl last season and was named a member of the All-Mountain West Community Service Team.
