FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State football head coach Matt Entz announced the addition of UCLA transfer offensive lineman Marquise Thorpe-Taylor to the roster for 2025 on Friday. Thorpe-Taylor is the fifth portal addition for the 'Dogs this spring.
The native of Tacoma, Wash. spent one season at UCLA, having enrolled in April 2024 with the Bruins. He did not see game action in the fall, and comes to Fresno State with four years of eligibility remaining.
He prepped at Mount Tahoma High School and was a three-star recruit according to 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals. He was rated the No. 30 offensive tackle by 247Sports, and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Washington. He earned spots on All-Pierce County League first team honors as an offensive lineman. He also played defensive line, and was a second team all-league selection on that side of the ball.
Thorpe-Taylor is listed as 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds. He is the first offensive line addition in the spring portal window.
