WACO, Texas - The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its preseason dual discipline team rankings on Tuesday, and the Fresno State equestrian team earned the No. 7 slot in the initial rankings.
Fresno State finished the 2021 spring season with a 5-6 record. The Bulldogs were ranked as high as No. 5 in the NCEA a season ago. Fresno State was the sixth-ranked team in the 2020 preseason announcement.
The Bulldogs return 27 riders from a season ago, and add 10 newcomers for this season.
Fresno State's season begins in 17 days as South Carolina and TCU pay a visit to the Student Horse Center on Oct. 1-2, respectively. Admission and parking to all Fresno State equestrian events are free of charge.
